The Fascism of Troy Nehls
Fort Bend Sheriff oversees overwhelming racial profiling of LatinX community

As reported in the Houston Chronicle here The Fort Bend Sheriff’s department, under the direction of proud Trumpian Bigot Troy Nehls, has been identified for unfair, and unconstitutional profiling of the LatinX community. “During a two-year period, for example, records show one officer made 819 stops, out of which almost 98 percent of them involved Latinos behind the wheel. He was not alone. Other task force members had similar rates that run counter to the region’s demographics, which put Latinos at 21 percent of the population. Statewide, Latinos are only 40 percent of the population.”
The department claims that these stops are necessary to stop activity from the drug cartels, itself an inflammatory and biased statement, playing along with Trump’s Rhetoric that all Latinos are “Bad Hombres”. Troy Nehls is a fanatical supporter of Trump’s racist policies. So fanatical that he threatened to prosecute someone expressing their first amendment rights and “sparked outrage on social media after threatening to file disorderly conduct charges against a driver displaying an anti-Trump bumper sticker”.
“Overall, 99 percent of traffic stops by the task force didn’t result in a citation, with even those traveling well over the speed limit receiving only a warning. In the case of the one officer whose stops were almost 98 percent Latino drivers, only a handful of searches have resulted in notable seizures of drugs or money, including 67 pounds of marijuana found in a truck in 2018”.
Nehls’ blatant racism is on display by these skewed numbers. His support of racist nationalist rhetoric is obvious, even on his website where he states “In Congress, I will stand with President Trump to build the wall” Nehls said under the top section of his issues page, titled “Standing with President Trump.”
Troy Nehls is a white nationalist with a badge, and he wants to have even more power. A vote for him is a vote for family separation, racial profiling, and fascism.

El racismo descarado de Nehls se exhibe por esos números sesgados. Su apoyo de retórica racista y nationalista es obvio, aún en su sitio web donde declara, “En el Congreso, respaldaré con el Presidente Trump para construir el muro.” Él dijo eso debajo de el parte superior de su página web, titulado “Apoyando el Presidente Trump.”
Troy Nehls es un nacionalista blanco con una chapa, y quiere obtener aún más poder. Un voto por él es un voto por la separación de familias, la caracterización racial, y el fascismo.
